Piano Lesson Types

The London Piano Centre provides piano lessons in London to students of all ages and skill levels – whether you’re an advanced adult looking for lessons, a student preparing for university auditions, or have a child you would like to enroll in lessons, we’d love to speak with you.

Piano Lessons For Adults

Every adult piano student has a unique goal in mind, and we would love to help you accomplish yours. In our experience, adults often mention:

  • They took lessons as a child, but are now continuing after years away from the keyboard
  • They have started to experience pain or tension while playing
  • They can play by ear, but their reading skills are sub-par
  • The inverse: They can read well, but they can’t play music by ear or improvise
  • They recently retired and would like to develop a musical skill
  • They don’t want to become a professional, but they’d like to learn a set of songs of pieces to share with friends and family

If you fit into one of these categories (or an entirely new one!), please get in touch. We’d love to work with you.

Piano Lessons For Children

A strong foundation in piano can set a child up for success like few other activities – it will make any other musical pursuit more successful, it will give them a way to enjoy music for the rest of their life (something most adults wish they had), and it will teach them the importance of discipline, careful practise, and more. In short, it will enrich their life in incredible ways.

We work with young children, young teens, and those getting reading for conservatory and university, and we would be happy to help you give your child a lifetime of music making.

Live Piano Lessons Online

Many piano students have non-traditional schedules, live far away from competent piano instructors, or are otherwise unable to meet with teachers in person, so we do offer live instruction online via Skype and other video chat platforms. If you have a fast internet connection and a keyboard (and a laptop or smartphone), you have everything you need to get started.

While in person lessons are usually ideal, we can accomplish just as much with virtual lessons. The teachers at the London Piano Centre will guide your practise, help you learn repertoire, fix your technique, and teach you just as much as you would learn here at our studio. Get in touch for more information.

Lessons For Professionals & Amateurs

As touring concert pianists, we enjoy working with aspiring professionals and amateur students alike. You can choose a lesson package that meets your ambitions, and we can help you prepare for competitive auditions, recitals, or simply a lifetime of enjoyable piano playing. We provide more information about our lessons packages on our rates page – let us know if you have any questions.
